Summary of Investment Information

Project Description

Apetit (or “the Company”) is a leading meat trader and processor in Kosovo providing industrials and consumers with frozen meat, fresh meat cuts, and, cured meat products such as sujuk and prosciutto.

Apetit seeks to grow and modernize its operations.

To do so, the Company is planning to (i) establish a large and modern slaughterhouse, which will comply with EU regulations on food safety, (ii) integrate upstream by setting up a cattle farm, which will partly replace Apetit’s imports, and, (iii) powering all its facilities (the slaughterhouse, the farm and the meat processing plant) with solar panels.Associated Advisory Engagement

 IFC and Apetit are discussing potential advisory engagements on financial management and food safety.
